RED ATENEA | Pilot project to promote young graduates' access to the labour market

Summary
The aim of this project is to promote employment opportunities for graduates who are having problems finding work, through the provision of special information, training and guidance. To achieve this, it will be necessary to consider individuals' integral development needs as well as their expectations and social abilities. This is the best way of ensuring integration into the labour market and professional efficiency. The training trials will target a representative sample of individuals from the four cities involved, selected according to gender, race and ability.

The activities of the project are divided into four phases. During the first phase the partners will create the ATENEA network, agree on action strategies and carry out a field study of the target group. The second phase will involve the consultation of other information sources, and the design of the information/communication tools and trainer training material. The third phase will be devoted to the development of training content/materials and evaluation instruments. The last phase will comprise pilot training and guidance activities, a transnational seminar for exchange of experiences, a dissemination campaign and evaluation of the project. Efforts will made throughout the project to take account of the specific needs of employers.

Impact
The project will help graduates enter into the labour market and improve the range of careers information and guidance available in Europe.
