DÉFINITION D'UN TERR | European work experience training module on the criteria defining a quality territory

Summary
Waste management has become a complex area. This necessitates the reanalysis of experience acquired in fundamental and applied research and in training and educational activities in the sector. The objective of the project, which is geared towards the management and treatment of waste, is therefore to help develop this experience within the framework of an international partnership consisting of experimental vocational training.

This is based on various tools, and includes in particular: the creation of a European work experience module on the criteria that define a quality territory; the production of a programme document containing instructions for the training of mentors and an educational programme designed for businesses, students and job-seekers; a joint assessment scheme emphasising the transferable and reproducible characteristics of training modules; and the production of a transnational guide to professional behaviour in waste management.

The results will be disseminated through the production of a best practice guide for use by those working in the industry, in national and regional development and in vocational training; the formation of a training module able to be integrated into other European training activities relating to environmental protection, and containing the analytical scheme and criteria defining a quality territory, and, finally, a database available on the Internet.

Impact
This project will enable new skills and knowledge to be gained at transnational level. It will stimulate the development of new technologies which will bring about a harmonisation in waste management at the European level.
