Regular dental check-ups and treatments not only ensure a beautiful smile, but good general health: a healthy oral cavity strengthens the immune system and acts as a barrier against various heart-, kidney-, or lungs-related diseases and diabetes. There is currently no effective solution to treat the 16.3 mn infected dental implants (EU, 2019). Freiburger Medizintechnik GmbH developed the solution dentists are looking for: a disruptive technology for highly effective infection control to fight periimplantitis. AmbiJet® is the world’s first and only plasma-based technology with the ability to kill bacteria on dental implants in-situ. It disrupts the status-quo of medical technologies by preventing the reinfection of disinfected surfaces and shows maximum effectiveness without side nor adverse effects: pharmacological and chemical substances are no longer required.
