NextGen Dyes | Efficient bio-production of next generation dyes for sustainable fashion

Summary
We are using biotechnology to address three global problems, sustainability, pollution, waste management. We produce eco-friendly, high-performance textile dyes from microorganisms through an efficient bio-production process. Our production is based on the use of our proprietary Synthetic Genomics platform, i.e. computational and genomic tools to engineer bacteria that produce colors from biomass waste streams. Our technologies provide solutions for the problems facing the textile industry, as our bio-produced dyes have the same dyeing performance as synthetic dyes but are cleaner to produce (independent from oil and toxic chemicals), safer to wear and are ready to be used by manufacturers.
We will sell our flagship product, indigo blue, to dyeing houses/fabric manufacturers, full range of colors in following years. Achieving 50% market share at one of our large denim targets would be enough to meet 2025 business plan. We will reach €24M revenues with gross margin of 67% in 2026.
