Summary
We have seen a revolution in autonomous driving technology. Today, more than 75% of newly registered vehicles have some level of driver assistance. However, despite vast strides in new AI and sensing technology, fully autonomous vehicles are yet to be realized because the actuator technology for the safety-critical steering and braking systems are not mature enough to guarantee fail-operational capability.
Chassis Autonomy has developed the first fail-operational steer-by-wire system, which is suitable for fully autonomous vehicles. It is the final step toward fully driverless vehicles (i.e., no steering wheel) and will unlock the next wave of automotive driving.
We have completed a series of early prototyping and validation activities and we are now seeking the support of the EIC to finalize our technology and go to market in two years to meet the roadmaps of the leading autonomous mobility developers.
