Maeve 01 | Maeve 01 - an All-electric Commuter Aircraft

Summary
There’s a pressing demand for green aviation in the EU: e.g. Denmark and Sweden aim at 100% fossil-free domestic flights by 2030, and Norway by 2040. It takes at least 8-10 years to develop a new aircraft, so this work has to start now if the EU is to meet its environmental/sustainability goals (zero-emission aviation in 2070, or as soon as possible, reference: ICAO).
Maeve aims to build and commercialize the first electric innovative commuter aircraft (ELICA) that carries 44 passengers over a range of 550 km. Commutes under 500 km represent 25% of passenger flow in the EU and 39% in the US. As battery power density increases over time, so will the range and capacity of our aircraft — we aim at 50 pax and 1,000 km range by 2035.
Maeve 01 will contribute to reducing the 9% of global aviation CO2 emissions that are generated by flights under 550 km, produce 40% less noise pollution, and reduce OPEX by ~33% vs. comparable turboprop aircraft.
