Summary
ablute_is the best way to know your health. By integrating a urinalysis device into a water-efficient toilet, people can take exams with the simplicity of using a bathroom.
Regular screening is the most reliable method to early detect diseases. ablute_ delivers simplicity to health examination, fostering regularity. The equipment analysis several biomarkers simultaneously and delivers immediate results via software. If a sign of a condition is detected an alert is emitted, catching the physician and patient's attention to that condition at its early stages.
The data transmitted is used for accessing patients' health but also for R&D purposes. On one hand, the biomarkers related to the analysis of diabetes, chronic kidney disease, inflammation and hypertension are already standardized, thus, the medical community already accepts them as the common used mean to monitor and detect those conditions. On the other hand, the biomarkers endorsed by ablute_ for the analysis of 5 types of cancer (breast, prostate, colorectal, bladder and ovarian), even though already validated by the scientific community with high levels of sensitivity and specificity, are still in progress for being perceived as valid by the medical community. ablute_ combine the analyses of these innovative oncological biomarkers with the standard ones, delivering relevant information while working on further validation.
The toilet can be used for common purposes; However, in order to perform urinalyses, the user needs to enable a connection by pairing it with an NFC device or through facial recognition. Once connected, the toilet will open itself automatically and the person can use it like a regular toilet. ablute_ completely automatizes the process of taking a health screen, it collects a urine sample, analyzes it and delivers the results.
ablute_'s goal is to democratise health examination. Step by step we are providing people with the necessary means to be the healthiest version of themselves.
