TMate | Testing, Monitoring and Analysing the performance of mobile neTworks for the connEctivity requirements of IT-solutions pertaining to freight and public transport as well as autonomous driving

Summary
Many European countries face difficulties meeting the increasing demand from private and commercial users and local authorities for a mobile connectivity available especially in rural areas and in constrained areas such as indoor locations, subways, tunnels and hot spots. The Europe 2020 strategy seeks to ensure that by 2020 all Europeans should have access to much higher internet speeds of above 30 Mbit/s and at least 50% or more of European households subscribe to internet access above 100 Mbit/s. Now that the Europe 2020 strategy has approached the end of its life cycle, it is time to check that the targets have been met regarding the quality of mobile networks:
Thus, the applicant ENQT GmbH plans to test and analyse the performance of mobile networks for the connectivity requirements of IT-solutions pertaining to freight and public transport as well as autonomous driving. For these purposes, more and more devices are connected to the internet via mobile networks. Continuous availability to mobile networks and a reliable data transfer are critical success factors for many digital projects.
ENQT is a prosperous startup offering innovative technology solutions and comprehensive consulting services related to IoT and Industry 4.0, currently especially for energy and heating use. As part of the internal innovation strategy ENQT plans to widen the focus to other economic sectors. The strategic objective of the project “TMate” is to obtain location-based data on the mobile network quality (signal strength, data transmission rate) in a smart way using methods of intelligent measurement technology.
Recruiting an Innovation Associate will help ENQT to gain essential know-how in the fields of commercial applications, statistical time series analysis in order to reveal the full business potential of the data-driven information platform for mobile network connectivity as well as an advanced planning module for antenna selection and in-depth analysis for indoor locations.
