Summary
Dual-frequency comb spectroscopy is a seminal new way of measuring infrared transmission spectra with high signal quality in short measurement times. Quantum cascade laser dual-comb spectroscopy has recently been introduced for the measurement of solid state and liquid samples at low resolution. In HiResCombs, we develop two complementary methods to perform high resolution spectroscopy with quantum cascade laser frequency combs. Each of the methods will be proven in an application test in a suitable research application. With the developments of HiResCombs, we aim to offer improved measurement capabilities for two research fields at once: high resolution spectroscopy and research in gas phase kinetics on short time scales.
