Summary
A three-day online conference (WIRE XI or WIRE 2020) will be organized by the Faculty of economics, business and tourism, University of Split (FEBT) for the eleventh edition of the Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE XI or WIRE 2020). The conference will be held from 4 to 6 November 2020 as a part of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The event will gather key stakeholders with the aim to provoke and stimulate place-sensitive and mission-oriented governance of research and innovation for resilient regional development and understand its societal impact using synergies between different EU policies to support economic, social and territorial cohesion. In addition, the conference is to enable deeper understanding of challenges for different level governance within the new programming period, especially for remote regions keeping in mind not only relevant heritage but also brain circulation possibilities and needs.
Representatives of European institutions, research organisations, clusters, education organisations, start-ups, SMEs, authorities and NGOs will be key actors and guarantee for the future cooperation and sharing of knowledge, delivering ways of a better understanding of R&I in the context of our immediate challenges
