Summary
The Momentum Premium Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme (Momentum PPDF) has the ambitious goal to attract 35 high-quality postdoctoral fellows in two subsequent calls to the research performing host institutions and research groups of Hungary’s most prestigious PI focused research grant, the Momentum programme, managed by the Secretariat of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA Secretariat). The PI’s and research groups of the Momentum programme represent the best selection of emerging talents in Hungary in all research fields and offer a great opportunity for the MSCA fellows to engage in their research at the forefront of science in a research environment committed to scientific excellence.
With the support of the MSCA COFUND programme this widely acknowledged flagship scheme in Hungary will be further elevated by increasing its international visibility, enhancing its European and global outreach, and improving interdisciplinary and intersectoral collaboration dimensions. The Momentum PPDF will play a catalytic role in the creation of a vivid ecosystem comprising Momentum research groups and their academic and non-academic partners in Hungary and abroad by promoting networking and inspiring new interdisciplinary cooperations with a potential to achieve breakthrough scientific results.
The postdoctoral fellows supported under Momentum PPDF will not only benefit from research-related trainings but will also acquire knowledge from a wide range of courses to develop key transferable skills and competences essential for the development of their career. A particular emphasis will be placed on exploiting the potential of networking between the Momentum host organizations and associated partners from academia and industry. By encouraging new collaborative approaches we aim to foster joint initiatives spanning various disciplines, embracing not only interdisciplinary endeavours but also promoting extensive intersectoral and international cooperation.
