Nanodink | Quantum Photonic Digital-Ink Solution for Large Format Displays

Summary
There is a global move to make the presentation of ideas whether in education or the corporate world more interactive as direct interaction (hands-on approach) enables ideas to be better comprehended and faster assimilated. Even though there are multiple tools that have been used to fill this gap, there currently is a size and cost limitation for ideal interactivity.
As Nanoga we have developed a solution Nanodink that will enable the cost-effective transformation of TVs into whiteboards and the TV retains its original functionality allowing normal video viewing. Our technology eliminates accidental activation (i.e. palm rejection) synonymous with the most dominate touch technologies, namely capacitive, resistive and infrared technologies. As it fully eliminates the need of extensive circuitry, sensors and control electronics, Nanodink significantly lowers the production cost of interactive displays and technology can be embedded on any display glass, therefore enables the cost-effective development of large screens above 60 inches in size designed with very narrow bezels.
Nanodink will be delivering a scalable, cost-effective solution with minimum power and processing impact, enabling direct interaction between a user and video display. Nanodink offers the following impacts:
i. Provide an interactive experience for children in school for better comprehension of new information
ii. Reduced product costs by a factor of 3 thereby accommodate budgetary limitations inherent in the education sector
iii. It is a passive system hence reduces operational costs
iv. Environmentally friendly as Nanodink processed glass can be recovered and reused to generate new glass materials.
v. Facilitates the transition of interactive digital whiteboards to interactive flat panels
For the company, we expect to generate a cumulative revenue of nearly €40.995-million and cumulative profit of about €24.341 million as well as create an equivalent of 19.3 FTE in jobs.
