Survey of Current States of Needs

This deliverable embraces the development of a questionnaire on the needs and demands of the current knowledge structure of the eHealth workforce within all European states and the US, its pre-testing, distribution and the statistical analysis of the responses as well as data presentation. This deliverable also builds upon preparatory work to be done in this project, which includes the identification of relevant persons/organisations and information in databases that exist within the consortium and resources identified within the EU and US, compilation of this information in a project database, and development of scripts to analyse and present the data. The survey will address issues of whether educational programs/courses in eHealth and health and medical informatics exist, whether these programs focus on particular topics, related professions and roles, and what type of credentialling, if any, is given at the end of the educational measure.
