Evaluation report on barriers and issues in providing integrated scientific support for EU policy

A workshop for representative EU-level actor organisations will be organised in cooperation with WP2 multi-actor platforms and with input from WP6. Prior to this workshop, a desk study is carried out with an evaluation about the current scientific support for different EU policies related to water quality, such as the water framework directive, nitrates directive and Directive on the Sustainable Use of Pesticides. The evaluation includes assessments of the role of EU research projects and service contracts, reports, web sites and scientific literature for EU policies related to quality of drinking water resources. This desk study is reported and provides points for discussion for the workshop.
