Recommendations on the occurrence of seismicity during shale gas reservoir stimulations

Summary
Publication with scientific recommendations on the potential occurrence of induced seismicity during shale gas reservoir stimulations and its relation to hydraulic parameters and geometrical expansion of hydro-fractures. Aim: Public dissemination of scientific recommendations on “imaging” hydraulic fracturing and subsurface perturbations during shale gas operations using induced seismicity. Scope: Integration of reviews (mainly U.S.A. and Canada) and research into scientific recommendations on seismic monitoring provides guidelines for different stakeholders in shale gas activities, and aid discussions on proper technical criteria for licenses to operate.
