Sustainable alternatives for wastewater management

Report on knowledge gaps related to wastewater management and analysis of emerging techniques and sustainable alternatives with the applicability in Europe. Aim: Public dissemination of identified knowledge gaps regarding sustainable wastewater management for shale gas operations in Europe. Scope: The inventory of knowledge gaps is used as a basis for outlining optimum wastewater management approaches in Europe that can be used to minimize the impact of shale gas operations on water resources.
