Report providing analytical results from laboratory autoclave systems under in-situ conditions using selected gas shales from 3 different European locations and flow back water analysis. Aim: Public dissemination of experimental analysis of flow back water compositions for European gas shales. Scope: The research contributes to optimum flow back water management by providing bounds on potential flow back water compositions for gas shales in Europe, thereby helping to minimize the impact of shale gas operations on water resources and soils.
