Best practices and recommendations for minimising the environmental footprint of surface shale gas operations

Report with inventory of key knowledge gaps and best practices for surface operations, and integrated scientific recommendations for minimising the environmental footprint. Aim: Public dissemination of all results from M4ShaleGas research on surface operations. Scope: Integration of reviews and research on different surface operations from WP7 to WP12 provides the scientific basis for the recommendations to minimise impacts and mitigate risks and footprint of surface shale gas operations in Europe.
