Model tool to calculate carbon footprint from shale gas and other fossil fuels. Aim: Software tool to calculate carbon footprint from shale gas compared to other fossil fuels. Scope: With the software tool the carbon footprint of different fossil fuels can be compared, thereby helping to assess the potential effect of large scale shale gas exploitation in Europe on the global climate.
