Final report with inventory of key knowledge gaps, best practices, and integrated scientific recommendations for minimising the environmental footprint of shale gas exploration and exploitation in Europe. Aim: Public dissemination of all results from M4ShaleGas research on shale gas operations and perceptions. Scope: Integration of reviews and research from M4ShaleGas research activities provides the scientific basis for the recommendations on best practices for shale gas exploitation in Europe with focus on minimum environmental impact and mitigation of risks and footprint.
