Summary
MET will study and describe available technical solutions, enabling operations in high temperature environments, used in different markets, like chemistry or power generation industry, trying to identify the optimal solution for the iron & steel industry, taking into account the data collected in Task 2.3.
MET will analyse and describe elements like: physical properties of the storage tank and heat exchange systems, volumes, working temperatures and pressures, thermal insulation, corrosion resistance of the material, shapes and materials used for tube registers, which will have to provide sufficient storage capacity, fast dynamics and effective heat conductivity within the storage material (PCM).
MET will analyse and describe their technological properties and possible adaptation to the developed system.
Final analysis will show cost-efficiency of each analysed system.
