Non-conventional deposition of catalyst particles in CNT systems

As part of Task 12 HTF will report on the fabrication method of innovative catalyst particles confined in stable and robust aligned carbon nanotubes CNTs by template assisted chemical vapour deposition CVD The novel deposition method will rely on a concept TRL34 nanotechnology methodology called Supertool developed by the Network of Excellence Inside Pores Potential difficulties lie in controlling and tailoring internal geometry and the constrictions the size of the deposited particles as well as their dispersion within the CNTs aiming to enhance catalytic activity
