Use cases and safety and efficiency metrics for smooth and safe traffic flow in Transition Areas

A review of the state-of-the-art of vehicle automations and situations where transition of control occurs regularly and causes traffic flow disruption. By means of detailed use case descriptions, the deliverable gives a comprehensive overview on (negative) traffic safety and traffic efficiency impacts, for both urban and inter-urban situations, and proposes a preliminary set of TM interventions.
