Toolbox for efficient e-mobility

Summary
This task will produce a scalable and harmonised toolbox for advanced implementation management and operation strategies of efficient emobility solutions This toolbox will build on tools developed by some partners projects such as ZeEUS ASSURED ELIPTIC and others they will be adapted to the local contexts in Asia Africa and Latin America The SOLUTIONSplus toolbox will be the key repository of the project spanning across all the work packages providing Impact assessment tools WP1 Capacity building material WP2 Summaries of business plans and models WP3 Summaries of emobility innovations tested in the demonstration actions WP4 Design operations and management tools for different emobility solutions WP4Provide information financing institutions and funding options WP5 The toolbox will be developed in an iterative approach living lab based and the toolbox will be elaborated and improved based on the experiences gained feedback loops from the demonstrations as well as the findings from impact assessment and other work packages such as technical specifications to be applied in WP4 The toolbox will be divided into two modules Models and Assessment and Planning and Implementation The Models and Assessment module will contain an inventory of stateoftheart and openly accessible simulation models to address strategic transport and energy systems modelling that includes planning management optimisation and impact evaluation of electric vehicle services and infrastructure Dedicated tools eg for air quality impact assessments ICCT multicriteria analysis TNO costbenefit assessments VTT elogistics ZLC heavyduty vehicles FIER energy assessment and management Dynniq vehicle testing IDIADA ebuses charging and operation ABB Volvo efficient ebus operations UITP vehicletogrid solutions DTU prototype development Valeo emobility services access UEMI electric 2 and 3wheelers UNEP user acceptance economic opportunities DLR The Planning and Implementation module will consist of business plans WP3 good practice examples operation planning and management tools Dedicated trainings will be offered throughout the project on both modules in WP2 The toolbox developed in this task shall be disseminated to an online audience via WP6 in a coherent and easy to use format and will be structured around the two modules with different applications for different user groups eg transport professionals industry researchers This task will lead to D11 Toolbox for efficient emobility delivered in month 6 summarising existing tools that can be used for initial assessments in the context of the demos WP4 and for trainings more widely in the context of the capacity building and peerlearning WP2 Regular updates to the toolbox ensure that partner cities replication cities professionals and networks can benefit from the innovations developed and tested by the project The development of the toolbox will benefit from synergies with the knowledge products generated through the thematic working groups within the Global Programme of the GEF7 sister project which will then also continue to maintain the toolbox after the lifetime of SOLUTIONSplus
