Summary
The aim of this task is to implement and evaluate a targeted lab-based board game (developed in T5.2, scenarios in 5.3), consisting of initial versions of components and mock-ups available early in the project (M12) with respect to the processes, workflows and policies established in WP1. The input for the board game will be based on input from WP3 and WP4 (T3.1 for the system-wide functionality, T4.3 for the framework, T4.4 for the Decision Support installation and some early visuals). The board game will be a low-fidelity, but effective way of evaluating and training processes related to the technologies improving the safety of humanitarian teams. In particular, we are interested in group processes and coordination in situations of stress. We will collect data from scoring and observations of player behaviour. Together with information from the de-briefings, these serve as background for further of the simulations and scenarios T5.2 and T5.3. Findings from this task inform development in WP1, WP3 and WP4.
