Assessment and Cross-validation among existing ground based in situ observation networks

Summary
Identification of specific data products available for cross-validation from the existing observation networks providing ground-based and airborne in situ observations. These common data products are used for cross validation, including retrieval techniques and instrument calibration in order to produce consistent data among the different networks and with data available from research aircrafts. Appropriate data products are identified for the different crisis scenarios investigated: volcanic eruptions, desert dust and sand storms, and large forest fires events.
