Summary
The MIREU Knowledge Portal will include data management tools to perform the following functions:
Feeding and indexing: All the knowledge uploaded in the portal (produced and collected by other work packages) will be fully indexed and accompanied by its metadata (using widely recognized metadata standard such as Dublin Core). This knowledge will be delivered in supports of various types, either semi-structured (e.g. datasets) or non-structured (e.g. reports, abstracts, charts, graphs, etc.).
Searching & retrieval: The MIREU Portal will be endowed with Search Capability, allowing to search at the same time in the data, in the documents and in their associated metadata. The search can be performed using full text, a specific location or using a simplified geographic interface allowing delimiting an area. The list of results will show a brief description of the documents retrieved and the geographic area covered in a small spatial viewer.
The MIREU Knowledge Portal will be freely accessible on the internet
