The Report on the State of the Art will provide a systematic review of literature focused on an overview of the stateoftheart of knowledge on the roles of HEIs when it comes to enabling social innovation through its missions of teaching research and thirdfourth mission A bibliometric approach will be used to identify and analyse books journal articles and reports examining factors driving social innovation activities at HEIs organizational and institutional change to accommodate such activities as well as their impact Past results from projects that received funding from the EU will also be analysed
