Summary
The deliverable outlines the description of the STEERER Network and its mandate in the context of the NEEDS project This will also include if or where applicable the Networks contributions to the ZEWT Partnership through the project workThe STEERER project will already provide a group of experts and stakeholders with expertise andor interest in waterborne transport covering inland waterways shippers ship owners waterborne equipment providers shipyards ports logistics companies energy and fuel providers class societies etc The group also contains information such as contact details and competence profiles It can be further expanded with other waterborne transport stakeholders from various areas based on the lessons learned in STEERER and the specific requirements within the NEEDS project Particular attention will be given in this case to stakeholders that are not within the waterborne transport sector itself but that have a major link to it for the project purposes renewables batteries and fuel cells sustainable alternative fuels production energy transport etcThe STEERER Network is the key consultation body created by STEERER and continued by NEEDS The group will be at the core of the stakeholders consultation process and will remain as a legacy of this project as well The group will participate in facetoface events discussing the consolidated output prepared by the project partners In addition its members will be asked to provide input to online consultations to further support the project activitiesFinally though not its main role the STEERER Network will also act as one of the main dissemination channels towards the wider waterborne transport sector
