Two study reports on the effect of realistic social stress, motivation and fatigue on effort

Summary
Two study reports on the effect of realistic social stress, motivation and fatigue on effort (ESR3-T2.1; ESR4-T2.2) T2.1. Develop listening tests that include realistic (social) error-consequences. ESR3 performs a literature review to identify strategies for inducing realistic social pressure and feedback. An experimental study will then assess the influence of social stress on macro-level pupil measures in pairs of subjects conversing together T2.2. Assessment of the effects of motivation and fatigue on physiological measures reflecting listening effort. ESR 4 will study the influence of motivation and fatigue (time-on-task) on macro-level pupillometry measures in speech perception tasks. Motivation will be manipulated by changing task-reward and by the inclusion of very easy (dummy) trials.
