Summary
Recruitment strategy will be a priority at the initial Meeting and will follow best practice and the European ‘Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.’ Recruitment will be done centrally and the recruitment procedures will be efficient and transparent. The Supervisory Board will monitor impartiality, equality, and consistency in choosing candidates. The Coordinator will widely advertise all positions on a variety of websites aimed at attracting students with diverse backgrounds but sound previous scientific education (e.g. department websites, various national portals) and on the EU job portal Euraxess. Advertisements will also be distributed to contacts and colleagues within the academic and non-academic communities to be passed on to promising potential applicants. Applications will be collected centrally and distributed to beneficiaries. In addition, each beneficiary may also separately recruit applicants. The details of the selection process used by each beneficiary will follow those normally used by their institutions. The most qualified applicants will be interviewed, and a recommendation made to the Supervisory Board for final approval. Criteria for selection will include education and skills, potential for excellence in the technological and scientific aspects of the project, and the benefit of the training programme to the candidate’s research career.
