Summary
The deliverable is a comprehensive report of the survey formed by distinct sections, listed below, with a common introduction on the methodology. The deliverable is produced by INRIA, the WP4 Leader basing on material produced by task leaders.
Community standards for documentation (draft) The section describes the practical use of community standards for documenting primary data and sources, including an inventory of the most important ones. It is conceived as a practical ‘guide to good practice’, and as such it includes examples, practical cases and answers to potential user’s questions. The section is based on the outcomes of Task 4.2.
Standardization of reference resources (draft) The section describes the current standards used for reference resources and how they may be implemented. It also inventories the most important authority lists, thesauri and gazetteers used in the humanities. It is conceived as a practical ‘guide to good practice’, and as such it includes examples, practical cases and answers to potential user’s questions. The section is based on the outcomes of Task 4.3.
Standardized protocols and procedures (draft) The report describes protocols and procedures for cross- discipline reliability of data generated by experiments and field or laboratory activity on material sources. It is conceived as a practical ‘guide to good practice’, and as such it includes examples, practical cases and answers to potential user’s questions. The section is based on the outcomes of Task 4.4.
