Implementing the operation of ECCSEL existing research facilities (CAT-1)

One of the tasks of this workpackage is, in cooperation with WP1, to first define the ECCSEL RI based on existing facilities located in the current ECCSEL committed member states. In ECCSEL Preparatory Phase II, most fact sheets of existing (CAT-1) facilities have been prepared and this will be the starting point for the work in this task. The work will revise and update the information on technical possibilities of the current research facilities, and structure these according to their research relevance (to Capture, Transport, and Storage) and type (lab-scale, pilot and demo facility). Required revisions of fact sheets due to technical upgrades already implemented will be done, and fact sheets describing new facilities will be prepared. The fact sheets for all CAT-1 facilities will include required information on technical operation, cost for usage and HES. Work will also be undertaken to collect documentation from facility owners to prepare protocols on the required technical and human support to make access possible to agreed services. This information will support the implementation of the transnational access managed by WP1. This work will result in this report on implementing the operation of ECCSEL existing research facilities (CAT-1) forming the initial ECCSEL RI.
