Summary
Development of a capacity building strategy and common training guidelines:
In this report, the needs of ECCSEL will be identified, in terms of capacity building and, particularly, for training, through a consultation process with the ECCSEL partners and the facility owners.
A strategy to better respond to the identified needs will be developed and rationalized. Training guidelines will be provided to the entire ECCSEL community, in order to guarantee the adoption of a high level standard for all the facilities. Training will be particularly addressed to meet the needs of prospective users and to the knowledge sharing among the researchers of ECCSEL. Best practises on how to manage these aspects will be provided and included in the guidelines, in order to assure the adoption of a common standard. Mapping of the existing relevant training courses will also be conducted on a national basis, considering courses held both by consortium members and by not members, in order to best address the guidelines and better calibrate any training action within ECCSEL. This deliverable will define the actual content of the training courses to be organized, addressing the needs of the prospective users of the Transnational Access Program.
This is the preliminary capacity building strategy report (including training needs, mapping existing courses, courses curriculum, H&S issues). It will be updated later in a final report.
