Common data pool on sustainability stand- ards and competitiveness

Summary
Assessment of the environmental and social costs and benefits of FVCs in four case studies. The related analysis will build on earlier work for DG AGRI (see CRPA profile). The analysis focuses on labour costs and environmental legislation. The basic assumption is that efficient competition (taking social/environmental costs into account) is reached when production factors are remunerated according to their marginal value product without exploitation of labour or the environment (Lead: CRPA, Co-lead: NWU, Support: ESRF, AUA)
