Summary
An initial Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation Plan (CDEP) has been developed and will be reviewed and updated regularly with the mentor (at least every 6 months) to meet the changing needs of the project. The impact of all CDE activities will be monitored using impact metrics including the number of attendees, citations, views of an article, likes/follows/retweets, website hits, and the plan will be adjusted accordingly.COMMUNICATION:The target audience for communication events is the general public, the non-specialized audience and school children. The researcher will undertake press releases in social media, dedicated to showcasing the diversity of UCY research to the widest possible audience; accounts in Twitter and Facebook, where he will regularly post news of the ongoing research; demonstration in the European Researcher’s night; and presentations in local schools. The research will be also presented in the specialized and non-specialized public of Greece, where the proposed project is strongly related.DISSEMINATION & EXPLOITATION:The target audience for dissemination and exploitation is the research specific community, policy makers, but also the general public. Specifically, the researcher will present the results of his ongoing research in the annual European Association of Archaeologists conference (EAA). The ultimate results of the research will be announced to the scientific community in the end of the tenure through publications in high-ranking journals (e.g. Hesperia, Journal of Roman Archaeology) and/or through a synthetic monograph in high-rank publishers (e.g. Oxford or Cambridge University Press). Open Access preprints are scheduled in socarxiv.org, or papers.ssrn.org and then uploaded in platforms such as ResearhGate etc., which will give access to the ongoing research not only in the scientific community but also in the non-specialized public. The project database and supplementary material (maps, photographic material and project’s spectrum) will be deposited in UCY’s Library repository. Finally, the researcher will schedule (in collaboration with the mentor) public lectures in the ARU Public Lecture Series and in UCY’s Interdepartmental colloquia, where students and postdoctoral researchers will have the opportunity to be informed on latest findings and techniques applied in the project.
