Atlas and field guide for different permanent grassland types in Europe

A European Permanent Grassland Atlas with distribution of the different PG types across EuropeThis will be supplemented with short illustrated descriptions of the 20-25 types (similar to “Grasslands in Europe”19 and LIFE and Europe’s grasslands43), based on pedo-climatic conditions, yield level, management, and simple vegetation characteristics that allow in-field identification of PG types by stakeholders. The Atlas could be presented as an electronic image, hard copy map and/or GIS layer at appropriate resolution (to be decided). It is possible that the GIS layer could be presented at different resolution or spatial scale depending on the amount of information available in each part of Europe.
