Preliminary toolbox for gene editing

"Deliverable 2.1 ""Preliminary toolbox for gene editing in plants and microalgae"" is a report describing the up-to-date genome editing toolbox for efficient plant breeding in potato and strain optimalisation in microalgae. The toolbox will comprise state-of-the-art CRISPR/Cas9 based constructs, versatile cloning strategies, optimized DNA delivery and regeneration systems, and bioinformatics methods for the integrated design of guide taking guide efficiency into account as well as knowledge on gene family members. The overall toolbox must permit high precision of editing and minimize unwanted alteration of the edited genomes and to develop edited potato and microalgae.
