Summary
D1.1 will compare the limiting contribution of peripheral factors for outcomes (ESRs 1-2), the contribution of crossmodal plasticity with respect to bottom-up mechanisms (ESRs 3-4) and their individual variation. Using an animal model will not only allow pinpointing the mechanistic explanation at the cellular level, but also provide information – by comparison with the human data – on the contribution of language to the cross-modal reorganisations. Each task group delivers a report and all task group members and WP coordinator will summarise these in a synthetic WP1 report (M24 & M52). Each ESR will gain a global WP1 perspective.
