Criteria for the representation of the social and economic dimension of MPAs

Criteria for the representation of the social and economic dimension of MPAs will be developed in task 4.1 and will take a form of a report. It will provide clear criteria for prioritizing the proposal of new areas; new limits; reallocation of areas; network corridors, etc. It will identify Ecosystem Services (ES) that can cover the social dimension of identification and management of MPAs, including as part of the MSP processes and revenue-and non-revenue-generating ES, pinpointing those that bring most societal value, in terms of establishment of MPAs, without discarding the less representative ones (in terms of social impact).
