The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is the single Spanish Technical University that features in all the world University rankings. It is among the Spanish Universities with the highest revenue from competitive research (R&D contracts, consulting and service delivery, spin-off) and a national leader in patent exploitation. Constituted in 1968, it comprises nearly 40.000 students, 2.600 members of teaching and research staff, and 1.900 administrative and services staff. Its research and academic activities take place in 44 departments and 40 university schools, faculties and research institutes. UPV has been granted 187 projects in H2020, of which 38 as coordinating entity.
