The Galician Automotive Cluster was created in 1997 by a group of component manufacturers, in order to develop cooperative projects to improve competitiveness. More than twenty years after its creation, CEAGA has become a solid structure, allowing the sector to develop initiatives of great strategic value and to introduce new companies into the Galician economy. Since it was first established, the number of members has grown by more than 100%: from an initial figure of 37 companies to the 115 companies (including the PSA Group center of Vigo and the Galician Automotive Technological Centre), 19.850 direct workers and a turnover around 8.350 millions of euro. The CEAGA Foundation brings together the entire automotive sector in Galicia. Our mission is to develop a cooperative project with high impacts in the Galician Automotive Sector.

CEAGA is composed by 5 strategy parts: the car manufacturer (PSA Group Center of Vigo), the Technological Center (CTAG), 113 component manufacturers, the CEAGA Corporate University (UCC) and the Business Factory Auto (BFA).

CEAGA has an automotive important ecosystem about the industry of future. The Strategic Plan of Automotive Sector in Galicia (P3CA), created by all automotive companies, has the way to convert our current factories to factories of future. The projects are developing in several areas, like Pilot 4.0 (in SMEs), training in the factory of the future, new skills 4.0, workers 4.0, working groups 4.0, new processes in the factory of the future, logistics 4.0, exchange of experience, development of entrepreneurial projects in the industry of the future, etc.

The work of CEAGA has been recognized at European level with the “Cluster Management Excellence Label GOLD”, obtained at the end of 2012 according to the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA) methodology. The CEAGA Corporate University (UCC) has also been recognized at Excellence in Practice Award by the EFMD (The European Foundation for Management Development).
