Summary
The activity is focused on the design of different swirlers aiming the reducing of Nox emissions and ensuring safety margins without flashback and autoignition by leveraging the background of the partners involved, both industrial and academic, and using additive manufacturing as an enabler for the manufacturing of such components, looking at both conventional/unconventional mixer configurations ( RQL, lean mixers) . The swirler and fuel nozzle designs will be numerically explored considering the level of interaction with other combustor aerodynamic features (quenching module, cooling,..) in order to down selected them for Low TRL test on Single sector rigs (TRL2-3).
